7 Ideas For Stranger Things Season 2

Stranger Things has taken over my life in a very real way. After zipping through season one, I immediately went to find out if Netflix had ordered a second season. It's not official yet, but given all the praise the show is getting, it seems likely. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have already said that if they are granted another batch of episodes, "it's not a second season as much as a sequel." Hmmm. Well, we're sure they know what direction they would go in, but just in case, here are some (highly speculative, completely unfounded) ideas! MAJOR spoiler alert.

15 Cruelty-Free Products You Can Now Buy at This Major Millennial Chain Store

You can now get your perfect LBD (little boho dress) and a side of vegan skin care and organic makeup, too. Clothing and accessories brand Free People has been a go-to spot for finding a breezy top for a music festival or a festive frock for your birthday party. You can finally score beauty (hair, skin, body, and nails) and wellness products online at freepeople.com and soon in Free People boutiques (beginning with Pennsylvania's King of Prussia Mall in October).

The assortment was curated by senior beauty merchant and founder of Shen Beauty Jessica Richards, and she focused on curating products that are organic, vegan, and entirely cruelty-free. Expect labels like RMS, Juice Beauty, and Eyeko with prices ranging from $6-$150.

"Urban and Anthropologie have done incredibly well with beauty," she told WWD. "Everyone is launching beauty, but I don't think anyone has done it with a natural, organic and wellness focus. Not that everything will be natural and organic, but it will be heavily that way, and nothing will be tested on animals. Free People has the opportunity to do beauty very differently with the wellness aspect."

There are even plans for Free People to eventually make its own namesake brand. "It would be really creating our own formulations under the Free People brand," she said in WWD. "I'm not going to go to some lab and say do six lipsticks in the same formula everybody else has."

Kim Kardashian's New Reality Show is All About Beauty Blogging

Another day, another Kardashian TV show. Keeping Up with the Kardashians has hit its twelfth season, with a variety of spin-offs in the unscripted television realm. Now, Kim is getting into the reality competition world - and if it's anything like her recent revelations about Taylor Swift on Snapchat, there is bound to be a whole lot of drama . . . and a whole lot of contouring.

We found a casting notice for the show and it doesn't disclose a working title, but only that Kim, a "major cable television network" and the producers of The Real Housewives of New York City are looking for beauty bloggers to compete against each other in a variety of assignments to win. We tracked down the casting director for the program, who told us they're looking for people with "strong following, like the Chrisspy's of the world." The contestants will create videos for each challenge, so having a vlogging or production background will be helpful, as well as serious makeup artistry skills.

The prize? Landing a gig as the Beauty Director of Kardashian Apps. The winner will work with Kim, Khloé and Kourtney to create beauty content exclusively for their apps. Beauty directors tend to come from an editorial background; many have experience in hair or makeup, but most are journalists. Kim's approach flips the script by looking for strictly artists and vloggers. And since it is the Kardashians, it's likely there will be plenty of opportunities for major exposure on the television show. The show films in late October for four to five weeks.

Are you looking forward to this Kardashian-centric reality competition? Let us know in the comments below.

Anastasia's Sweet New Glow Kit Will Make Your Cheeks Sparkle Like Sugar

There are few Instagram beauty stars who strobe brighter (and better!) than Anastasia Beverly Hills President Claudia Soare. If this doesn't give you moonbeam cheekbone #goals, then we don't know what will. The makeup boss lady isn't just amazing at creating makeup - she's also fantastic at wearing it.

So when we heard she was making a fourth Glow Kit (available for $40 from Anastasia Beverly Hills on July 7) - which we can exclusively reveal is called Sweets and was inspired by candy - we had a lot of questions. First, we learned that the formulas are called reflect shades, so we had to know: what is that?! (Apparently it incorporates multidimensional pearls to reflect unique tones at different angles.) And how would a luminizing genius like Claudia apply the colors? (Hint: the brush plays an important role in achieving a victorious glow.) If you, too, want those answers and more, then keep reading to discover some serious highlighter hacks.

The Wait For the Next Game of Thrones Season Is Even Longer Than We Thought

We have some tragic news to share, Game of Thrones fans. If you were going on your merry way and assuming the show's shortened seventh season would air in the Spring of next year - just like every other season - you're in for some disappointment. Recently, the show's executive producers, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, called into the UFC Unfiltered podcast for a little Game of Thrones chat. When asked if the next season would premiere in April, Weiss had a surprising response.

"No. We don't have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later. We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, Winter is here. And that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore. So, we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim gray weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot."

This week, HBO confirmed all our worst nightmares, saying that the show indeed would air later than usual. HBO programming president Casey Bloys elaborated on the situation, saying that "the story lines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing. Instead of the show's traditional spring debut, we're moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule." Looks like you prepare yourself emotionally for the long, dark hiatus ahead.

Game of Thrones: Here's the Official Episode Count For Season 7

We knew season seven of Game of Thrones wouldn't be as long as a regular season, but the final episode count has been revealed, and it's making us depressed. Next season, premiering next Summer, will consist of seven episodes. Seven. See that picture of Cersei up there? We feel like Septa Unella. Those episodes had better be two hours long.

This Is What It Looks Like to Wear 100 Layers of Foundation

After a video showing 100 layers of nail polish on a woman's hands went viral, vloggers around the world were inspired to re-create their own versions. However, YouTuber Jeely's "100 Layers of Foundation" is by far our favorite take on this trend.

Using a blending sponge, Jeely bravely forged ahead and slathered her face with a terrifying amount of foundation. "It's greasy as f*ck," she lamented. "What am I doing with my life? I have too much free time."

Because the layers were so thick, she had to resort to using a hair dryer to help set her makeup . . . but was largely unsuccessful, and struggled to keep her hair from sticking to her face. Jeely looked quite miserable by the end of the video - after all, it took her three hours to apply that makeup! - but managed to joke that she looked "flawless." See the results when you watch for yourself.

The Reason You Shouldn't Necessarily Trust Your Eyebrow Esthetician

Image Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Maria del Rio

My mom, Sania Vucetaj, has been doing brows since long before it became the "cool" thing to do. As a result, I have been hyper sensitive to all things brows my entire life. While the girls in middle school were off getting their brows waxed in half, my mom made sure my thick brows remained intact (and I thank her every day for that). She started her career at Bergdorf Goodman before opening her studio, Sania's Brow Bar, over a decade ago. Her signature style for the past 25+ years has been full, bold brows and she has built a very strong following that includes celebrities, models, high execs, and beauty-industry leaders.

My mom dreamed of expanding her brand into a family business for a while. When the opportunity finally arose for her to take over her entire floor of her building, my sister Suzy, cousin Bona, and myself were ecstatic to join her establishment and expand the brand. We have been working on friends and family member's brows for a few years now but never professionally. And last year, after taking a business trip to LA with her for the Emmy gift lounge, we were more excited than ever at the thought of joining the SBB team.

Our method for brow shaping is strictly tweezing because it's the most precise way and best for the skin. Since a New York state license for tweezing does not exist, Bona, Suzy, and I enrolled in an aesthetics course to obtain a waxing license for hair removal. This course required 75 hours, which meant we had class several nights a week for approximately three months. We enrolled in one of the most esteemed aesthetics schools in NYC (which basically means the world). Our instructor was extremely sweet and very knowledgeable when it came to body waxing. But when it came to brows, our course was lacking - big time.

Lucky for us, we had a head start since we were raised in the brow world. Our expectation going in was to learn some new brow trends and techniques - and most importantly, gain more experience practicing on models. Given the latest brow boom, we wanted to see how the curriculum changed in the last 15+ years since Sania took the same course. And the sad (and scary) truth was that nothing at all has changed.

During my first week, I learned that almost all of the girls in my class were there strictly so that they could become brow specialists. Brows have become such a booming business in the last few years and it seems everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon. But I was actually shocked to learn that almost all of them had never even shaped a brow before and did not have any basic brow knowledge. You should at least know where brows should start and end!

During the course of the class, we learned how to wax arms, legs, and underarms. There was no discussion of brows minus the short few paragraphs in our textbook that describe how to wax them. It provided all of the wrong tips, such as the brows' center should align with the nostrils - which is very, very wrong. (FYI: they should align with the inner bridge of the nose.) The only brow demo we received in all of those three months was when the teacher laid a student down on a table and waxed off her brows while standing behind her. How can you visualize the arches you are shaping if you're not looking at them face on? And not to mention, waxing stretches this delicate skin!

At the end of the course, one of the girls expressed her frustration that she was to begin working in a luxury Brooklyn salon with the title of "brow specialist," but was scared to admit to her new boss that she had not in fact ever shaped a single brow. And another girl told us that she was sent to get a license so that she could be a brow specialist for a top beauty brand - and she also had never practiced brows. Yet, here they were, about to go off into the world to shape (or, more likely, ruin) brows of unsuspecting clients. The companies most likely assumed that they would be experts by the end of the course, which was obviously not the case.

I must say that I cannot blame our school for the lack of brow training out there. They are merely working with the curriculum issued to them by the state. They cannot be expected to teach brows when they have never been trained themselves. Essentially, this license is not indicative of any brow training or brow knowledge. We "graduated" from this academy with the same exact brow knowledge and experience that we had entered with.

Prior to letting us even think about working on our first paying customer, Sania had us do extensive training for months on models until she felt we were up to par. She taught us her tweezing method and tricks by bringing in models (female and male) with all different types of brows. She demonstrated as we watched. And then she observed and critiqued us as we worked on arches. She taught us all her secret tips and tricks that she has learned over the years. There were definitely tears shed along the way but she made sure that we were truly prepared before letting us hang up that license - and use her name.

Many people ask what method is best when it comes to brows, and our stance is that it's more important to know who is behind the work than the method used. The truth is that a license means nothing when it comes to brows - we know firsthand from our experience. I am fortunate enough that my mom is one of the leading pioneers in the brow industry, so I've always understood the importance of good brows - but it's scary to think that this is not the case for most of the brow experts out there.

For those looking to have their brows shaped and groomed, our advice would be to really do your research. Read online reviews, find out what method they use, ask questions if necessary, or set up a consultation first. Lastly, let us not forget that hygiene and safety are essential. We make sure that we sterilize every single tweezer we use. You should always stay alert to this. Threaders hold the thread in their mouths, which is unhygienic and has led to facial warts for some people. And putting scalding hot wax near your eyes does not sound safe.

Sania could have expanded years ago but she held back until now, because she wanted to ensure she had a team that cared as much as she does about her clients and brows. Bottom line: be protective of your brows, always.

Is Stranger Things Coming Back From Season 2? Here's What We Know

Those who have already zipped through Stranger Things may be wondering if Netflix will bring it back for a second season. As of right now, Netflix has not officially picked up the series for another season, but maybe if we clamor loudly enough, that will change. In an interview with IGN, creator Matt Duffer (half of The Duffer Brothers mentioned in every opening credits sequence) gave a hint about what would come on a second season:

We wanted to do a couple things with this [first] season. We didn't want to do The Killing thing. We wanted it to resolve that main thing of Will going missing in the first season. So in that sense, it is like an eight-hour movie. Now, we don't answer all the questions by the end of the season - there are definitely some dangling threads. The hope is that it feels satisfying but that we left room and that if people respond to it we can go back into this world. But if we do get to go back, it's not a second season as much as a sequel.

A sequel, eh? Well let's all hope that gets greenlit soon!

This Beauty Blogger's Resemblance to Priyanka Chopra Will Make Your Jaw Drop

If there's one celebrity we'd instantly swap features with, it would be Priyanka Chopra. The Quantico leading lady has a head full of enviable locks, naturally defined arches, and a perfectly radiant smile. But luckily for one influencer, Navpreet Banga, these aren't traits to just long for. In fact, she actually shares almost identical physical similarities to the actress.

Navpreet is a style and fitness blogger who uses her platform to share beauty tips and her wellness journey as a bodybuilder. But while scrolling through her page to admire her muscles and savvy makeup skills, it's hard to ignore that her full eyebrows, defined pout, and wide smile look exactly like Priyanka's. She also sports a thick mane of lush brown hair identical in style to the actress's coveted strands. And when wearing a vibrant berry lip stain (like Priyanka did at the Oscars), you probably won't be able to tell the two apart.

We've seen some pretty impressive celebrity doppelgängers recently, but Navpreet's resemblance to Priyanka is by far one of the most mesmerizing. Read on to see her striking similarities.

25 Midnight-Blue Hair Ideas That Will Inspire Your Next Moody Look

Pastel hair hues are stunning, but we're far more fascinated by the moodier takes on colorful coifs. Emerald dye captured our hearts. Smoky lilac styles mesmerized us. And now, midnight-blue manes are inspiring us to take the plunge into rainbow hair. Depending on how a colorist translates the look into your strands, your strands can appear like anything from a stormy sea to a starry night sky.

The beauty of this color trend is that you can customize it to perfectly flatter your skin tone, though the more black that is in the mix, the more complementary it is to all complexions. Cool-skinned gals might want to add a bit more blue-based purple for a sultry indigo shade, while those with warmer complexions could add a bit of yellow-based green to suit their olive undertones. Learn more about your undertone here, then read on to see our favorite takes on midnight-blue hair.

7 Gel Manicure Mistakes That Are Ruining Your Nails

There are many reasons I love a gel manicure, but a few in particular stand out. I'm obsessed that they require zero drying time, which equates to zero probability of smudging. They last for at least two weeks. That enduring glossy finish gets me to book salon visits over and over again. But when it comes time to take off the lacquer, I admittedly get a little lazy. When choosing between squeezing a removal appointment into a busy schedule or picking and peeling on my way home from work, I'm often guilty of the latter.

It turns out that's not the only error I've been making when it comes to gel polish. Chances are, you - and your favorite salon! - are making some of them, too. That's precisely why I enlisted the help of celebrity manicurist Elle. The nail tech (who has painted the talons of Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Blake Lively) revealed that seemingly simple things can cause your gels and natural nails to prematurely crack and peel. But when applied and cared for correctly, these glossy lacquers aren't harmful to your claws at all. Read on to discover her top nail-saving tips.

20 Overboard GIFs That Prove It Will Never Get Old

Overboard hit theaters almost 29 years ago, but the iconic movie is still quoted and watched to this day (and probably always will be). In addition to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's real-life romance, the pair also ended up being comedic gold as costars. While Hawn delivers some icy and hilarious burns (not to mention her disgusted facial expressions) as spoiled heiress Joanna Stayton, Russell shows off his muscles and quick wit as carpenter Dean Proffitt. Despite the somewhat scary plot of Dean actually kidnapping Joanna to make her think she's his wife named Annie after she loses her memory from falling overboard her luxurious yacht, the movie is pure genius. And with remakes being made left and right these days, we love to look back on classic films that are so deliciously original. Keep reading for some of the movie's best GIFs.

11 Makeup Commandments Charlotte Tilbury Swears By

There's a reason so many celebrities (Amal Clooney, Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian, and more) rely on both makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and her rock-star line of products. Charlotte really gets how women like to do their makeup and the mistakes they make. She took this all into consideration when launching her eponymous brand, and thus, the offerings have many functions and are easy for the consumer to understand.

As a personal fan, I enjoy many of these benefits. For instance, instead of releasing a confusing multishade contour kit, her version, Filmstar, only has two colors: a bronzer and a highlighter. Then, there is her Mini Miracle Eye Wand featuring one side of serum and one side of coverage. As someone who is constantly traveling, I can attest that it's the perfect postplane, under-eye fixer.

Because I love her products so much, when I finally had the chance to meet her in person, I picked her brain about all things makeup. Then, I learned everything from her easy cat-eye hack to the biggest mistake most women make when applying blush. Keep reading to learn how to do your makeup 10 times better!

14 Powerful Songs of Protest the Black Lives Matter Movement Has Inspired

Like any powerful social movement, Black Lives Matter has inspired a flood of artwork in its wake. As Professor Daphne A. Brooks writes, the cause has especially kicked off "a new golden age of protest music" with echoes of 1960s, when antiwar sentiment and the civil rights movement were at the forefront of the national consciousness. It was a time when artists like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Sam Cooke quite literally raised their voices in protest to confront racism and antiblack violence. Now, a new wave of performers is following in those footsteps and providing a soundtrack both inspired by and in support of Black Lives Matter. Listen to some of the most stirring songs they've created in our playlist below.
