18 Subtly Important Moments Not to Forget During the Game of Thrones Hiatus

During the dreaded annual Game of Thrones hiatus, it's easy to forget small details in favor of recalling the big ones - dragons, explosive battles, major deaths, and the like. But oftentimes, it's those tiny, forgotten details that turn out to play a major role later on in the series. Plenty of seriously important events unfolded during season six, so it would be easy to let the memories of these subtle moments fade before season seven premieres next year . . . which is why we've outlined which details are bound to have larger implications for the future of Game of Thrones.

  1. Ned leaning Arthur Dayne's sword against Lyanna's deathbed: In the prophecy of Azor Ahai, regarding "The Prince Who Was Promised," it is foretold that the chosen one would be "born under a bleeding star." When Ned Stark finds his sister Lyanna at the Tower of Joy, special focus is paid to him leaning the slain Ser Arthur "The Morningstar" Dayne's bloody sword against Lyanna's bed - the bed upon which she'd just given birth to Jon Snow. Dawn, Dayne's sword, was said to be forged from a fallen star, so his bloody sword could symbolize a "bleeding star," causing newborn Jon to fulfill the prophecy of Azor Ahai.
  2. References to other caches of wildfire beneath King's Landing, not just Baelor's Sept: When Jaime told Brienne about the Mad King's wildfire (which we saw Cersei put to good use in the season six finale), he said: "Aerys saw traitors everywhere, so he had his pyromancer place caches of wildfire all over the city. Beneath the Sept of Baelor and the slums of Flea Bottom. Under houses, stables, taverns, even beneath the Red Keep itself." That means that, while Cersei used the caches below the sept, there is still plenty of the deadly substance hidden all over King's Landing.
  3. Jaqen Hagar telling Arya that she is "no one": In season six episode eight, Jaqen tells Arya that she is "no one" - despite Arya fleeing the Faceless Men to return to Westeros, she has achieved what it takes to abandon her identity.
  4. The revelation of Melisandre's true age (and the fact that the new priestess Kinvara is even older): Many people were so distracted by Melisandre's creepy physical appearance when she reveals her true age that they didn't consider the implications - because the red priestess is supposed to be "several centuries old," that means she was alive during much of the original Targaryen reign in Westeros.
  5. Tyrion not being killed by Dany's two dragons: The fact that Viserion and Rhaegal didn't burn Tyrion to a crisp when he freed them from their chains is a huge deal, and could mean that Tyrion is suited to become a dragonrider in future seasons.
  6. Jon's subtle costume changes: Before he was declared "King in the North," Jon already began the process of becoming head of house Stark by donning his uncle Ned's armor. This subtle costume change indicates that Jon is ready to fulfill his duties as a protector and leader for his family, which means we'll see a lot more of his new role in season seven.
  7. Benjen's story about being saved by the Children of the Forest: Benjen tells Bran and Meera that the Children of the Forest stopped him from becoming a White Walker, which means that they know how to stop the transformation - this could be key later on in the series, when men must battle the undead after the inevitable breach of the Wall.
  8. The lack of happy faces in the audience (including Jaime's) when Cersei is crowned queen of Westeros: Prior to Cersei forcibly ascending the Iron Throne (with help from a whole lot of wildfire), women held no claims to the throne in Westeros. During her coronation ceremony, a quick pan over the audience in the Red Keep reveals a sea of sullen faces - including that of her brother, Jaime. Since it's been prophesied that Cersei will be killed by her younger brother, his somber reaction to Cersei's crowning may mean that he's struggling with the idea of her as a Mad Queen and contemplating how to stop her reign.
  9. Brienne keeping the sword, Oathkeeper: The sword Jaime gave Brienne is made of Valyrian steel, which Jon discovered can kill White Walkers. Now that Brienne is Sansa's sworn sword, this could mean that she'll be fighting against the White Walkers when they come south of the Wall.
  10. Daenerys being surprised with information about her dad: It became clear in season six that Daenerys is pretty clueless about her family history, which could mean some rude awakenings when she finally returns to Westeros in season seven.
  11. Howland Reed killing Ser Arthur Dayne, not Ned Stark: One of Ned Stark's claims to fame was defeating Westeros's greatest swordsman, Arthur Dayne, at the Tower of Joy. During Bran's season six flashback, however, it is revealed that Ned was actually losing to Dayne when his friend (and Meera's dad) Howland Reed intervened to stab Dayne in the back. What else do viewers believe that will turn out to be untrue in Bran's future revelations?
  12. The Night's King entering a magically protected space after touching Bran: Because the Night's King was able to break powerful protective enchantments after touching Bran during one of his visions, it could mean that he'll be able to cross the Wall when Bran heads south. Uh-oh . . .
  13. Jon announcing that they'll bury Rickon in the crypt: After Rickon's death, Jon announces that they'll bury the body with his father in the Winterfell crypt. Because this burial has not yet been shown on screen, it could mean that Jon makes a jarring discovery when visiting Ned Stark's grave.
  14. The shady look Littlefinger gives Sansa during the "King in the North" speech: While the rest of the room applauds Winterfell's new lord, Jon Snow, as the "King in the North," Petyr Baelish makes eye contact with Sansa Stark and remains seated. As he's already expressed his desire to rule Westeros, this could indicate that Littlefinger has dastardly plans in store for Jon Snow - or merely that Sansa's rejection of Littlefinger's advances has made him angry enough to seek revenge on the Stark house.
  15. Daenerys declaring that she'll crush Starks, Lannisters, and more noble houses in Westeros: During a particularly rousing speech during season six, Daenerys inspires her new Dothraki warriors by telling them about how she'll conquer Westeros - and bring down the major houses within it. Many fans theorize that this specific speech could indicate that Daenerys is as mad as her father, which makes us a bit nervous that she's headed to the Seven Kingdoms now.
  16. Sansa's speech about how Ramsay Bolton affected her: "I can still feel it. I don't mean 'in my tender heart it still pains me so' - I can still feel what he did in my body standing here right now," Sansa tells Littlefinger in season six, which caused many fans to speculate that she might be pregnant with Ramsay's baby. Add to that the fact that Ramsay (right before being eaten alive) tells Sansa that he's "a part" of her now, and it could spell B-A-B-Y for season seven.
  17. Jaime's anguished face during Walder Frey's statement about them both being kingslayers: In the season six finale, Walder Frey and Jaime Lannister have a heart-to-heart in which Frey attempts to relate to Jaime on the grounds that they've each murdered a king. As he lists their similarities, Jaime looks progressively crestfallen, perhaps indicating that he regrets his reputation and less honorable past deeds.
  18. Sam taking his dad's sword, saying that Lord Tarley can come take it back if he wants it so badly: If we can take anything from our first impression of the gruff, angry, racist Lord Tarley, it's that he won't take kindly to Sam stealing his rare Valyrian steel heirloom. We're willing to bet that we haven't seen the last of dear ol' dad!

The '90s Summer TV Lineup You Were Watching When You Should Have Been Playing Outside

I honestly don't even know what kind of subpar shows are on Nickelodeon these days, but nothing can convince me there was a better era for the network than the '90s. Back in the day, when school let out and the weather started heating up, you could be found parked right in front of the TV. While the neighborhood kids played outside, you preferred to grab some cereal and chill with your greatest friend, Stick Stickly. He always understood you, and he always knew exactly what you wanted to watch. Here are the shows we all loved, and kind of which we could have back on these hot Summer days.

The BFG: This Is What the Lovable Giant Looks Like in Real Life

One of your favorite childhood books, The BFG, has gotten the movie treatment. While director Steven Spielberg manages to create some beautiful images through the film's digital effects, one of the most magical parts has to be the friendly giant himself. Since the whole film revolves around the unlikely alliance between the BFG and little orphan Sophie, you can bet there is a lot of CGI that went into making those beloved scenes between the two characters just right. Of course, we were a little curious about what the actor looks like in real life. So, if you're intrigued . . .

Why You Feel Like You've Seen Orange Is the New Black's Sadistic Guard Humphrey Before

Orange Is the New Black season four is indisputably the darkest season so far, and one of the factors that make it that way are the batch of new guards at Litchfield this year. After the CO walkout in the season three finale, Caputo's guard problem is solved when he gets a set of new, seemingly tough officers, led by Desi Piscatella. As the season goes on, though, the group of guards each fails the prison in one way or another, including causing the death of one of our favorite inmates. But even though Piscatella is the head jerk, there's one guard in particular who truly deserves the title of the worst: CO Humphrey.

We never learn much about Humphrey's past aside from being a vet, but in the present, he is disgusting: he forces Maritza to eat cockroaches or a baby mouse at gunpoint, he incites a bloody, disturbing prison fight between Maureen and Suzanne, and he clearly feels nothing about it all. As grossed out as he makes us, though (and as much as we hope that he goes down after the finale cliffhanger), something else bothered us about Humphrey: he looks so familiar. The actor who plays him is Michael Torpey, and though he's not a super-high-profile star just yet, he's had several memorable roles that we recognize him from, and you probably do too.

If you watch Inside Amy Schumer, you'd definitely know him from that. He stars in season one's "2 Girls 1 Cup" skit, as the guy trying to put the gross viral video together.

He's made several appearances each season of the sketch show, like in this GOP-regulated birth control skit and boyfriend sketch.

Besides Inside Amy Schumer, Torpey has guest-starred on a few TV shows, like Limitless, Madam Secretary, Veep, and one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, 30 Rock, where he had a short stint but an extremely 30 Rock-level ridiculous name, Gaylord Felcher.

6 Easy Hacks For People With Invisalign

Making the choice to transform my smile was an exciting moment. I suffer from an extreme overjet with a slight gap in my top row of teeth. I wore braces as a kid but failed to use my retainer consistently, causing my teeth to revert to their naturally uneven state. As a result, I found myself unhappy with the smile my parents worked so hard to fix during my childhood. I vowed to never revisit the metal braces treatment and decided to try Invisalign instead.

I am just over a month into my Invisalign treatment program, and despite reading up on all there is to know before making the commitment, I've discovered a few surprises about my plastic aligners after living with them for a while.

If you're in the process of reconstructing your teeth with Invisalign or plan to try the treatment some day, I've put together a list of essential tricks that will come in handy during your journey to a new smile.

  1. Purchase a brand-new nail buffer. You probably wouldn't think to go out and purchase a manicure tool when starting a new dental treatment, but a nail buffer ($6) comes in very handy. While the plastic material is less irritating than the metal wires of traditional braces, it still can irritate your mouth. My first set of trays were extremely sharp around the edges and left tiny painful cuts around my gums, tongue, and cheeks. Though my dentist did not advise me to buff the sharp corners with a nail buff, I found immediate relief when I used the smooth side of the tool on the irritating sides of my aligners.
  2. Soak your trays in diluted mouthwash twice a week. Keeping the same plastic trays in your mouth for two weeks can result in a taste that isn't very fresh (especially if you've skipped brushing in between meals). To ensure your trays stay as fresh as possible, soak them in diluted mouthwash for five minutes or less. Soaking your trays in the watered-down mixture for a few minutes will not only leave your mouth feeling clean but also aid in keeping your trays polished. I like to use a clear moisturizing rinse from Biotene ($11) to further avoid staining the plastic.
  3. Keep a care kit with you at all times. Making a commitment to Invisalign comes with a healthy amount of upkeep, including brushing and flossing diligently - more than twice a day. In order to make sure your teeth stay in tip-top shape, invest in a set of miniature dental tools. You can purchase a basic dental kit, like the Glo Science Travel Kit ($14), at Sephora. However, I suggest making a portable care kit that contains a toothbrush, floss, chewies, a retainer case, and mini interdental brushes. Keeping these items with you in a travel-size pouch will make it easier to take care of your teeth on the go and save you from having to purchase items at the drugstore in the event of a special occasion or emergency.

  4. Get a tool to help remove your trays. One of the unfortunate downsides of having Invisalign is that it's bad for your manicures. It's nearly impossible to take off your trays without using the tips of your nails, so having a tool to remove your aligners will help keep your nail polish from chipping. You can order the Outie ($20) online to add to your care kit. The Outie is plastic clamp with a tiny hook that will easily remove your plastic attachments. Not only will you save your manicure, but you can also avoid constantly putting your fingers in your mouth.
  5. Never insert your trays after eating if you haven't brushed your teeth. Recommended wear of Invisalign is 22 hours daily, so you might be tempted to pop your trays back in immediately after eating to meet your goal. But no matter how determined you are to keep your trays on, never put them back in your mouth without brushing. Putting your trays in without cleaning your teeth puts you at risk for developing cavities and staining your aligners with the remnants of your food.

  6. Set a timer. Set a timer as a reminder to put on your trays after eating. It might feel obsessive to count the amount of time you're leaving your trays out of your mouth to snack, but the closer you come to meeting your 22-hour goal each day, the closer you come to the smile of your dreams.

The '80s Movie Anders Holm Would Consider Parodying on Workaholics

Season six of Workaholics is officially out on DVD, which means it's time to rewatch the latest episodes of your favorite cubicle-dwellers getting into trouble. We got the chance to chat with Anders Holm, who we also love from The Mindy Project, about the show, and while he couldn't divulge anything about next season (they literally haven't written it yet), he did let us in on his strangest fan experience, his favorite part of season six, and more.

POPSUGAR: Have you had any strange fan experiences?

Anders Holm: Yeah. This guy rolled up on me in Chicago and he recognized me and was like, "Yo, I'm a big fan," and we were just walking around the street and then this van pulled up with these prostitutes and they were like, "Any of y'all wanna f*ck?" And I was like, "Yeah, this guy does!" This was just a magical moment, so he gets in the van and disappears and I'm like, "Well, that's crazy." And then the next day on Facebook I got a message that was like, "Really good to meet you, I got robbed by those hookers." What are you gonna do?

PS: Do you feel like there's a big cross section of Workaholics fans and The Mindy Project fans? What is that Venn diagram like?

AH: I think those are the weirdest people, the ones who watch both those shows. No, if you like good comedy, you're watching both of those shows. There's quite a bit of crossover. They like jokes.

PS: Has anyone ever gotten mad at you and been like, "Hey man, I don't like your show's representation of office culture"?

AH: No, not really, and we were pretty conscious about separating the show from The Office when we pitched it. The whole thing with The Office, which was the biggest show at the time, was that everyone at The Office was sad and boring and work was such a chore. But this was a time where unemployment in America was at 13 percent, so we tried to switch it up and be like, "We're so lucky to have a job where we just sit with our friends and clown all day and actually get paid enough money to get a sh*tty case of beer at the end of the week."

PS: What was your favorite episode to shoot this season?

AH: I have to pull them up on IMDb. "Save the Cat" was a fun one. It was just was just a fun melodrama version of the show when Blake and Jillian adopt a cat. The dudes were losing Blake to being a father, he had a wife who was like, "You're partying too much!"

PS: Who's been your favorite guest star on the show?

AH: Dolph Lundgren was great. Daniel Stern is the man. People should vote for his son, Henry, who's a politician. Google him.

PS: Who would you want to pop in for an episode?

AH: Jamie Foxx.

PS: Workaholics is so chock-full with pop culture references; what's one movie or show you'd like to parody?

AH: I'm not a huge parody guy, but I do like a good reference. It would be tight to parody The Explorers, with River Pheonix and Ethan Hawke. It's a group of 11-year-old misfits and they create this computer program where they can essentially build a spaceship and they go into space but it's heavy duty. It would be cool to do an episode like that, but it would be a little bit out there. It might just be tight to do a couple references from Kindergarten Cop. I feel like you can't have enough.

PS: Did you watch the sequel?

AH: I haven't, but I just saw it at Target. Dolph looked like he killed it.

I Tested 10 Foundations For My Pale Problem Skin - Here Were the Results

Since I began wearing makeup around age 12, I've had endless trouble finding the perfect foundation. I'm cool-toned and pale - like, very pale - and I have a bit of problem skin. Namely, mild adult acne, some hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, an oily t-zone, and a couple of aggravating dry patches just beneath my jawbone. As you can imagine, slapping on a little cover-up is a pretty necessary part of my daily routine. But finding that perfect shade and formula? That's another (slightly frustrating) story.

I've noticed that makeup brands tend to market only light to medium shades, which means you can usually find me frantically trying to buff away an orange jawline before running out the door every morning. In fact, I almost always have to mix in NYC's Manic Panic Virgin Dreamtone Gothic Foundation with whatever cover-up I'm using just to make my face actually match my neck. So when I was given the opportunity to test 10 foundations for porcelain people, I jumped pounced at the chance. Ahead are the varied results of my experiment. And in case you were curious, yeah, I did finally find my holy grail product. Praise be!

Game of Thrones Bachelorette: 7 People Daenerys Could Marry

Season six of Game of Thrones ends with Daenerys Targaryen finally heading toward Westeros, ready to claim her birthright of the Iron Throne. It's not going to be easy, given the fact that Cersei sits on it now and there will be many who try to get in her way, but she brings up an excellent point to her heartbroken lover Daario when discussing her strategy: she can marry. A marriage will provide Daenerys with a proper alliance that will get her even further, so that's great for strategy and all, but the matchmaker within me also got very excited about a potential wedding for Daenerys. There are a lot of eligible bachelors in Westeros right now, so we're pointing out who could end up marrying Daenerys in season seven. Get your roses ready to pass out.

Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell Are Just Done in the Bad Moms Trailer

Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis are starring as two very overworked and underappreciated mothers striving to keep up with all the rules that modern motherhood presents. They finally break down, and with the help of a mom who really doesn't seem to care about anything (Kathryn Hahn), they break free. You don't have to be a mother to appreciate the angst of trying to be perfect, and you definitely don't have to be a parent to be frustrated with having to bake cookies void of any salt, sugar, gluten, or love. Jada Pinkett Smith and Christina Applegate costar in the comedy, out on July 29. Take a look, and check out our interview from the set!

A Simple Guide to Korean Skin Care For Women With Darker Skin

I first heard about Korean beauty a few years ago, but I was hesitant to try it as a black woman with dark brown skin. Not once did I come across a woman who looked like me in the ads of the most sought-after K-Beauty products, which caused me to wonder if this Eastern skin care regime was safe to use on my melanin-rich skin. I was also concerned when I came across terms such as whitening (which I later learned really meant brightening) and products I had never heard of, like serum. However, after lots of research and experimentation, I've learned that the Korean beauty routine can be used by individuals with any and all skin types and complexions. Not only does it promise a healthy, dewy face, but it also helps your #blackgirlmagic, your inner awesomeness, glow even brighter.

The Korean skin care routine is a multistep regimen that focuses on layering various products on the skin in order of lightest consistency to heaviest consistency, or least hydrating to most moisturizing. The most important aspects of the routine are hydrating your skin and protecting it from the sun's harmful rays. By keeping your skin moisturized and protected, you will minimize the chance of needing lots of corrective treatments in the future. While it is not a new routine, Korean women and men have been using it for ages, and it has grown tremendously popular over the last few years here in the United States - cementing itself as more than just a passing fad.

Simply speaking, this antiaging regimen boils down to cleansing, exfoliating, treating, moisturizing, and applying SPF during the day. And it's perfect for women of color since it emphasizes hydration and sun protection. We often grow up hearing how important it is to moisturize every day but hardly are told how important it is to apply sunscreen daily. After months of trying varying combinations and products, I've narrowed down just what steps and products work best on darker skin. Keep reading to discover my tried-and-tested picks!

Spoiler Alert! Here's Exactly How Orange Is the New Black Season 4 Wraps Up

Orange Is the New Black is no stranger to huge plot twists and gut-wrenching scenes. In fact, fans can find the most heartbreaking moment yet in season four. With a beloved character lost in the penultimate episode, it was difficult to predict how the show would follow up in the finale. So how does season four end?

Upset with Caputo for defending Bayley rather than honoring Poussey in a televised statement about her death, several inmates begin marching through Litchfield and rallying others along the way. Soon, practically the entire prison riots through the halls to express their anger at the situation and how terribly they've been treated throughout the entire season. They're so furious that the COs can't stop them.

The COs are clearly outmatched, but Humphrey attempts to whip out a gun he'd snuck inside. Having previously done truly gross things, like forcing Maritza to eat either 10 dead flies or a baby mouse at gunpoint and egging Suzanne and Maureen to physically fight each other, he's one of, if not the most, awful guards around. But he gets what's coming to him when Maritza shoves him to the ground before he can shoot anyone. Daya then gets ahold of the gun and, after some hesitance, points it right at Humphrey's face as the inmates cheer.

That tense moment is exactly where that storyline ends for now. The actual last scene of the season is a bittersweet shot of Poussey, after much of the finale explores one of her most memorable nights ever through flashbacks. She looks directly into the camera and flashes the sweet smile everyone will miss.

With her gone and the inmates' mistreatment, it's unlikely that the ladies of Litchfield will back down easily. We're already counting down the days until season five so we can see how it all unfolds.

Game of Thrones: This Theory About Varys Being a Merman Is Shockingly Believable

If one of the most shocking parts of the Game of Thrones finale to you was the moment you realized how quickly Varys got from Meereen to Dorne, then you need to hear this theory. It basically states that Varys is a male mermaid, aka a merman, a creature that does exist in the A Song of Ice and Fire universe and is known as a "merling." If you're thinking this is insane, I agree - but this video by Nerdist convinced me. It pieces together all the evidence that points to Varys being a merling, and you're going to have to watch it:

Here's some of the more convincing support:

  • Varys disappears and reappears all the time, perhaps because he's swimming though the city's underground waterways?
  • He wears long robes, to cover his weird tail?!
  • He allegedly licks his lips one time when people are talking about cannibalism.
  • When Tyrion threatens to throw Varys in the sea, he replies, "You might be disappointed in the result." Because he would just swim away?
  • He may be helping Dany so that her dragons can fight the White Walkers and their firebreath will melt all the ice, raising sea levels and creating mroe room for merlings to flourish.

Admit it, you're kind of on board now, aren't you?

The Reason This Beauty Vlogger's Hair Tutorial Infuriated the Internet

Norwegian beauty vlogger Gilan Sharafani recently shared a video of herself demonstrating a no-heat curling technique. While that alone sounds blatantly inoffensive, it's her method - and her lack of acknowledging that method's origins - that upset many of her 33,390 subscribers.

Sharafani's technique involves twisting small sections of her hair into small buns and subsequently pinning them until her whole head is covered with tiny chignons. She later unpins them, revealing tightly wound curls. The issue, however, is the fairly obvious correlation between the buns and bantu knots: a style that is believed to have originated among the Zulu tribes of southern Africa.

It's interesting to note that Sharafani was completely unaware of the existence of bantu knots and expressed this in the video's description after receiving criticism.

In an Instagram post promoting the tutorial, one person commented, "It's not just a hairstyle or jewelry fashion. It's a culture and the history behind it." Another wrote, "Try loving our black and POC neighbours a bit more by giving serious thought and insight into their history and the result of the current lives."

She wrote, "After that I shared this video on my Instagram, ppl [sic] started telling me that the teqnique [sic] I was using was from Africa - WHICH IS CALLEDN [sic] Bantu Knots." She added, "I didn't knew [sic] that, till everyone startet [sic] commenting about that. If knew from the start that this teqnique [sic] was African, I would for sure call it Bantu Knots."

It may have been an honest mistake, but Sharafani only acknowledged the fact that she didn't know about bantu knots. She didn't address any issue with her using them as part of her technique. The comments under her video have since been disabled.

Game of Thrones: HBO Has Confirmed Jon Snow's Father

If you thought we were going to have to wait until season seven of Game of Thrones for official confirmation of Jon Snow's father, you were wrong. While we found out Lyanna Stark is Jon's mother in the season six finale, it's not explicitly started that Rhaegar Targaryen is his father, though many fans assumed it was the case due to the popular R + L = J theory. Rather than drag out the mystery, HBO just straight-up confirmed the theory with an infographic on their "Making Game of Thrones" blog. Take a look:

This also clarifies how Dany and Jon are related, in case you were confused. (Which is totally fine, this is crazy-confusing.) Now that we know for sure Rhaegar is Jon's dad, what is Jon's real name?

Move Over, Contouring: Draping Is the New Way to Achieve Chiseled Cheekbones

Though the everyday consumer may have only learned about it in the past few years, contouring is a classic technique that has been around for centuries. But the makeup artist who popularized it among the celebrity set was Way Bandy. Haven't heard of him? It's time you brushed up on your beauty history.

Very few makeup artists in the '60s and '70s hand-mixed their own cosmetics, and even fewer placed a priority on the health of their clients' skin. But Bandy did both. He was known for his natural-looking technique and was hired by stars like Cher, Farrah Fawcett, and Diana Ross. He even published a now-revered (but out of print) book: Designing Your Face: An Illustrated Guide to Using Cosmetics. Instead of listing brands or specific products, he advised his readers to look for specific shades and textures so they could become a mixing master like himself. The highly descriptive text taught aspiring artists how to sculpt based on their unique features, not face shape, which was a revolutionary concept at the time.

Sadly, Bandy died of AIDS-related complications in 1986, but the beauty lessons he left behind are timeless. And now, his friend Marc Jacobs is making sure that the iconic artist is getting the credit he deserves for publicizing contouring.

This Summer, Marc Jacobs Beauty will be releasing Air Blush Soft Glow Duo ($42), a compact consisting of two complementary cheek hues that can be used separately or together to create a luminous flush. Along with the product, the brand is celebrating the "draping" technique, a spinoff of contouring.

"[Way Bandy] embraced the concept of 'color glow' as a way of bringing out the natural 'drape' of the face," the brand said in a statement. In lieu of using a contouring and highlighting duo, Marc Jacobs Beauty wants you to use this blush for contouring, aka draping, effectively reviving the '70s bold cheek trend.

The key to making draping look chic, not dated, is blending. Use the darker shade in the Air Blush compact to chisel, then buff it out with the lighter color. The finished result should make you appear as if you just spent all night dancing at Studio 54. Read on to learn more.

A Bunch of Kids Interview Daniel Radcliffe About Harry Potter, and It's Adorable

Daniel Radcliffe recently sat down with People magazine to discuss his upcoming movie Swiss Army Man and also to answer a few questions from some adorable little kids. From trying to get Radcliffe to divulge the secret behind the special effect that turns him invisible in Harry Potter ("I think that's, like, state secrets") to asking him how he got his Nimbus 2000 to fly ("That is just done with magic and I can't tell you anything more"), the actor had plenty of fun answers for them. The best question definitely came from 4-year-old Stella, though, who donned Harry's iconic glasses and asked, "Harry Potter, do you like my English accent?" So cute! Check out his responses above, and then find out what it would take for Radcliffe to play Harry again.

How Joy the Baker Turned Her Love for Baking Into a Dream Career

The First Trailer For Sully: Miracle on the Hudson Will Make You Never Want to Fly Again

The first trailer for Sully is here, and it looks incredibly haunting. Based on a true story, Tom Hanks portrays Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III, the man who safely landed a disabled plane on the Hudson River back in 2009, saving all 155 passengers and crew members on board. While he may have been regarded as a hero, the film shows that his life after the incident actually involved a lot of turmoil and self-doubt. Not only does Hanks deliver an incredible performance, but the film is also headed by award-winning director Clint Eastwood. Honestly, it already looks like a top contender for next year's Oscars. The movie doesn't hit theaters until Sept. 9, but you can catch the full trailer above.

All of Your Embarrassing Bikini Wax Questions, Answered!

Ladies, bathing suit season is here, and that means you can't avoid dealing with a fuzzy bikini line anymore. The best advice we can give you: be consistent - whether you choose waxing, laser, electrolysis, or another long-lasting hair-removal method. And if waxing is your choice, then you're in luck, since we tapped Noemi Grupenmager, CEO and founder of Uni K Wax Centers, to answer the questions you might not want to ask your friends or your mom (yeah, we all get itchy down there sometimes). Read on, and get one step closer to feeling confident come Memorial Day weekend.

POPSUGAR: What is the best way to avoid ingrown hair? Seriously! We exfoliate and use salicylic acid products down there but we still get bumps.

Noemi Grupenmager: If you wax regularly, you'll lower your chance of getting an ingrown hair. Your clothing can also increase ingrown hair, as tight clothing - jeans, leggings, etc. – can also cause these unsightly bumps because they compress your hair against your body, allowing the hair to curl back into the follicle. Try to avoid shaving as much as possible. If you can't put the razor down, exfoliate the area before you shave and make sure you aren't using a dull blade.

PS: How long should you actually wait between bikini waxes? During the Summer, it's hard to let it grow when you're always beach-bound!

NG: Totally understand! Your wax should last you anywhere from three to six weeks. But to prepare for the Summer, start early to get your hair on a waxing cycle and continue it year round. With regular waxing, the length of time between treatments will increase, as the more you wax, the weaker the hair follicle becomes, making it easier to remove hair. If you stop waxing in Winter, you reverse all the work waxing has done for your hair previously. If you're new to waxing down there and want to make it last, look for a salon that offers a special "touch-up" service, which will be really helpful when transitioning your hair-growth pattern from shaving to waxing. Many customers also come in for a wax then head straight to the beach; for these customers, we recommend applying a sun cream to the area prior to exposure to the sun.

PS: What can you do prewax to make the hair come out better?

NG: Keep the skin hydrated and healthy! If your skin is too dry, your hair is more prone to breakage at the root when removed. One way is of course to drink lots and lots of water to hydrate from the inside out as well as using a great moisturizer on the area to be waxed at least several days prior to your wax service.

PS: What can you do to make it hurt less?

NG: First, choose the right center that uses an all natural, elastic wax that's applied at body temperature, as it is gentler on the skin when the hair is removed. Other tips include: not to drink alcohol beforehand. It may seem like a good idea, but you will tighten the pores, which will make the hair more difficult to remove. Lastly, stick to your waxing schedule. Once your hair growth is in a pattern, it will be easier to remove, but if you're not maintaining your waxes, it could be more uncomfortable.

PS: How can you tell a salon is sanitary (other than no double dipping)?

NG: You're usually on the right track if you find a center that focuses solely on hair removal. From the moment you walk into the salon, it should look and smell clean. When you are in the waxing room, the wax to be used specifically for your service should be freshly made and look presentable. Everything the waxer uses in your service should be either highly sanitized or new for your service.

PS: What can you do postwax to soothe irritated skin?

NG: To soothe irritated skin, apply a cold pack to the area to reduce inflammation and close the pores. Then, apply a soothing moisturizer and wear loose clothing on the day of your treatment to prevent from chaffing.

PS: Why do you get itchy down there after a wax? How can you make it stop?

NG: Some people are itchy after a bikini wax, as they have used a hot synthetic wax which irritates the skin. Find a center that uses an all-natural elastic wax applied at body temperature to never experience the "itchy down-there feeling."

See the Orange Is the New Black Cast Out of Their Jumpsuits

Despite Sophia Burset's best efforts, the ladies of the Litchfield Correctional Facility lack style. In real life, however, the cast of Orange Is the New Black is anything but dowdy. We gathered pictures of Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Taryn Manning, Ruby Rose, and the rest of the cast in and out of their jumpsuits. You might be shocked at the difference with some of the women - especially Blanca! Take a look at all the pictures below, and let us know how far into season six you are.

Which Major Houses Are Allied at the End of Game of Thrones Season 6?

Who run the world (and Game of Thrones)? Girls . . . and Jon Snow! Even the new King in the North wouldn't have been given his title without the aid of badass child genius Lyanna Mormont. The season six finale was chock-full of ladies doin' it for themselves and by the end, new alliances are formed (or shifted) and thrones are ascended. Here's how the main houses are allied by the end of season six:

House Stark

At the newly reclaimed Winterfell, Jon addresses a room full of Knights of the Vale, Northmen, and Free Folk, and struggles to gain their collective fidelity. He is ultimately saved, however, by tiny Lady Mormont, who delivers her own version of the "Shame!" chant by calling out all of the houses that are reluctant to rally behind House Stark. She reminds each of the house leaders why they ought to pledge loyalty to Jon Snow. After her riveting speech, Lord Manderly and Lord Glover promise their support and deem Jon the White Wolf and King in the North. The rest of the room follows suit. Littlefinger has also declared for House Stark, though he is not about to call Jon the king of anything, instead nurturing a fantasy of ruling alongside Sansa.

House Lannister

Before his gruesome (though admittedly satisfying) death at the hands of Arya Stark, Walder Frey toasts to his strengthened relationship with the Lannisters, though Jaime wonders aloud whether the Freys are of any real use to the Lannisters at all. Meanwhile, as Kings Landing is reduced to a smoldering heap of ashes, the diabolical Cersei ascends the Iron Throne supported by Qyburn, the Mountain and the Kingsguard. Cersei is less interested in forming alliances and more into just taking things "because it feels good."

House Tyrell

Last we see, Ellaria and the Sand Snakes of Dorne are persuading Olenna to form an alliance between the Martells and the Tyrells in order to better fight the Lannisters. Olenna is not exactly jumping at the chance, but then Varys appears and offers "fire and blood." Since Varys fights for Dany, this implies that Olenna, on behalf of the Tyrells, then allies with the Targaryens.

House Targaryen

Aside from having to break things off with her sexy sidepiece, Daenerys is seriously living her best life right now. She has the allegiance of the Greyjoys and the Iron Fleet that comes with that. In addition, she leads a fierce Dothraki army and the Unsullied. Toss in some loyal dragons and her new partnership with the Tyrells and Daenerys seems poised to totally dominate this game.

How Game of Thrones Confirmed Jon Snow's Real Parents

Jon Snow has the spotlight in season six of Game of Thrones, as his resurrection and that time he saved Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton have been among the biggest storylines. One thing we were dying to see explored this season, though, is who Jon Snow's parents really are, and it finally happened. Jon's parents - are you ready for this? - are Rhaegar Targaryen and Ned's sister Lyanna Stark. Here's why we all should have seen this coming from a mile (and several seasons) away!

Orange Is the New Black's Blanca Is a Babe IRL and It's Time We Praise Her

Orange Is the New Black is full of quietly fascinating characters, but Blanca might take the cake. While she first appears as crazy, we learn in season one that she's just pretending to talk to herself because it means people don't realize she's talking to her boyfriend on her hidden cell phone. Blanca is a smart cookie, and we see even more of that in season four. Since Blanca has such an extreme look, I recently started wondering what actress Laura Gómez looks like in real life. The answer? Very different than her onscreen persona.

In Case You Need a Refresher, Here's What Happened to Cersei's Kids on Game of Thrones

We can wholeheartedly say that Cersei Lannister is one of the worst mothers on Game of Thrones. On one hand, she loves her children with a murderous devotion rarely glimpsed outside of the confines of the Bates Motel. On the other, all of her children die extremely gruesome deaths. Is it fate, as that witch in the woods predicted when Cersei was only a child? Or is it just her awful decisions that propel her children to their doom? Either way, Cersei's children all die horribly, and they all die young.

Let us count the ways.

The first of Cersei's children to die is the squealing blond psychopath known as Joffrey Baratheon. Remember him - that awful waste of pigs-breath who liked to torture Sansa and shoot arrows into unfortunate prostitutes? He dies one of the most awesomely satisfying deaths on television - poisoned at his own wedding by his own mother-in-law.

Poor Joffrey. We certainly weren't sad to see him go.

Next up is sweet Princess Myrcella, who dies from a poisoned kiss courtesy of Ellaria Sand. We were actually saddened by her death. Of all of Cersei's children, she was the least objectionable.

The last to die is the short-lived king, Tommen, who takes his own life by jumping out a window when Cersei kills his wife, Margaery Tyrell, and pretty much the entire nobility of Kings Landing by wildfire-bombing the Great Sept of Baelor on the season six finale. We won't say his death is her fault (yeah, it is definitely her fault, no doubt about it), but Tommen was always weak. We just knew he wouldn't survive Game of Thrones.

So there you have it, the three deaths of Cersei Lannister's children. Here's to hoping she never has any more.
