We had a very interesting face-off between Spencer and the mysterious Mary Drake in season seven's premiere of Pretty Little Liars. Mary stops by Spencer's house asking for her parents and instead of getting them, she has a conversation with Spencer that might be hinting to a family secret.
We know now that Mary Drake is the twin sister of Jessica DiLaurentis and the mother of Charlotte. But in the premiere, Mary makes a side comment that Spencer and Melissa could be twins. She also talks about how she met both of them when they were younger. "We used to have a lot in common." She then hints, "I know enough about your family to know they are excellent secret keepers."
Pretty much everyone who has been watching this show knows that, but what secret is Mary referring to? Well it could be a secret family tie! What if Spencer and Mary are related?
We know Peter had an affair with Jessica, and Jason was born. Is there more to it? Did Peter sleep with Mary as well? Or could Mary have somehow fooled Peter into thinking she was Jessica?
Sounds crazy? Well there's more that might win you over! Let's not forget that Spencer has done some time in Radley. While she was there, she was plagued by strange hallucinations of a little girl. Is it possible Spencer and Mary are related by blood? The Hastings family has a long history of covering up secrets - consider how deeply they buried their family ties with Jason. It's possible there's more to Spencer than we know.
If this is true, then this would make that scene of Spencer finding all the childhood toys at Radley even creepier! Was that her room?
